Nanomaterials for Energy Conversion and Storage

Welcome at the Huijben research group. Our lab is part of the Nanoelectronic Materials cluster and the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology of the University of Twente in Enschede, the Netherlands.

Our research is focused on the study of novel nanostructured thin films with special structural and advanced functional properties at the incorporated interfaces. The aim is to develop new materials towards improved energy applications, such as solid-state batteries and thermoelectric energy generators. The Twente Centre for Advanced Battery Technology brings together all battery research activities at the University of Twente.

Our team of BSc, MSc, PhD students and postdoctoral research associates is exposed to many diverse research directions such as materials science, nanotechnology, inorganic chemistry and applied physics.
